The Metanoia Series returns to the Festival of Chichester in 2026. Listed below are the events that we are presenting:


10am-1pm, Saturday 13th June

Photography workshop with Simon King

Join professional photographer, Simon King, for a location-based photography workshop. During a walking trip around Chichester you will learn about framing, exposure and other photography skills, from photographing architecture to street photography. Bring your own camera or smartphone. Suitable for all levels of experience.

Future Chichester

The Council House, North Street, Chichester

Do you have ideas for the future of Chichester? Do you have a vision for how we can move forward as a community? Come and contribute your ideas to the discussion and learn about plans for the regeneration of Chichester that other people and organisations are proposing.

Classical Pianist, Young-Choon Park

The Chapel, University of Chichester, College Lane

World-renowned pianist Young-Choon Park returns to Chichester for an evening of music including Mozart’s Sonata No.8 in A minor and Beethoven’s “Pathétique”. Young-Choon has played in the Birmingham Symphony Hall, New York's Lincoln Centre and the Musikverein in Vienna. The event is kindly supported by the University of Chichester.

Yoga Talk with Fleur 

LANO Chichester 

Fleur's talk offers an introduction to the philosophical foundations of yoga, as articulated in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. She will explore yoga beyond the Asana (postures) as a systematic path toward self-realisation, examining the eight limbs as a framework for ethical living, expanded awareness and inner liberation.

LANO Sound Bath with Ayumi

LANO Chichester 

Beginning with simple guided breathwork and intention setting accompanied by Tibetan bowls and soothing instruments to settle deeply into the present moment, then entering deep relaxation with gongs, crystal bowls, drums and chimes, the vibrations create an immersive soundscape to quiet the mind, calm the nervous system and encourage restoration.

Jenny Andersson – Centres For Life

The Council House, North Street, Chichester

Jenny Andersson returns to talk about her study for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, how ‘Centres For Life’ can help revitalise and regenerate places, followed by a collective exploration of the regenerative horizon for Chichester.  Questions like what are Centres For Life and why are they important will be explored.

An evening of contemporary electronic and live music accompanied by immersive art installations. The event is hosted by the Chichester Creative Partnership as part of the Metanoia Series to provide a platform for established and emerging local performers and artists.

A series of community-owned ventures is proposed by The Chichester Creative Partnership to support the creative industries in the area. The Partnership is a not-for-profit organisation formed of, and advocates for, the creative industries in the area. Come along to find out how you can be involved in their projects.

Charlotte Hastings – Kitchen Therapy

The Council House, North Street, Chichester

Join Charlotte Hastings, educator, psychotherapist and author of “Kitchen Therapy – How To Become A Conscious Cook”, which explores the psycho-spiritual, communal nature of food, cooking and eating. In this session a whole simple meal will be cooked together, with an invitation to share stories, memories, ideas and dreams.

A Celebration of Chichester’s Amphitheatre

Amphitheatre Park, Whyke Lane, Chichester

The Whyke Residents Association presents a celebration of Chichester’s amphitheatre through time. Only discovered in 1935, a 1st century Roman amphitheatre on this site would have hosted gladiators and plays. Come and join us for an afternoon of music, crafts, food and entertainment, to celebrate the history of the amphitheatre.
